Streetside Gaming is looking for a reliable, friendly and enthusiastic Gaming Bus Driver & Party Host to join our team.
We operate a fully equipped mobile gaming bus featuring the latest gaming consoles, virtual reality, racing simulators and a huge selection of games.
We attend children’s birthday parties, school events, community events and celebrations across Essex and Suffolk, creating exciting gaming experiences for our customers.

Gaming Bus Driver &
Party Host – Job Overview
As part of the Streetside Gaming team, you will collect the gaming bus from our base in Clacton-on-Sea and travel to customer locations throughout Essex and Suffolk.
You will be responsible for setting up and hosting gaming parties, helping children with games and consoles, interacting with parents and making sure each event runs smoothly.
Most gaming parties last between 90 minutes and 2 hours, although your working day will also include travelling, setting up and packing away.
Full training will be provided.
What You'll Be Doing
Your responsibilities will include:
Collecting the gaming bus and travelling to customer locations
Arriving approximately 30 minutes before each party to prepare and set up
Hosting gaming parties for children, typically aged 6–12
Helping players with games, consoles and gaming equipment
Assisting with basic technical or gaming questions
Creating a fun, energetic and welcoming atmosphere
Speaking confidently and professionally with parents and customers
Making sure the gaming bus remains clean and presentable
Packing away and checking equipment after each event
Returning the gaming bus after the day’s bookings
Pay & Benefits
From £14.00 Per Hour
Pay starts from £14.00 per hour, with the opportunity for pay to increase with experience and performance.

Working Hours
We are currently looking for team members who are available mainly at weekends.
Saturdays
Typically around 7–9 hours, depending on bookings and travel.
Sundays
Typically around 7–9 hours, depending on bookings and travel.
Weekdays – Optional
Additional weekday work may sometimes be available, usually around 3–5 hours.
We are happy to discuss working patterns that suit your personal commitments.
This could include:
- Every weekend
- Alternate weekends
- Saturdays only
- Sundays only
- Selected weekends
- Additional weekday shifts when available
Requirements
To apply for this position, you must:
- Be aged 25 or over due to vehicle insurance requirements
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Have held your driving licence for at least 5 years
- Have at least 1 year’s experience driving a long-wheelbase van
- Be confident driving a larger vehicle
- Have a good understanding of modern gaming consoles and online gaming
- Be friendly, outgoing and approachable
- Be confident speaking with children and parents
- Be reliable and punctual
- Be comfortable working independently
- Be willing to obtain a DBS check before starting
Gaming Experience
A good understanding of modern gaming is important for this role.
Experience with consoles and games such as PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Fortnite, Roblox and Minecraft would be particularly useful.
Recent gaming experience is preferred, as you will regularly be helping children with games, controllers and consoles during parties.
Driving Experience
You must have:
- At least 5 years’ driving experience
- A full UK driving licence
- At least 1 year’s experience driving a long-wheelbase van
You should feel confident driving a larger vehicle around Essex and Suffolk and parking safely at customer locations.
