Safeguarding & Child Safety

At Streetside Gaming, children’s safety and wellbeing come first. We want every child to have an amazing gaming experience while parents can feel confident that their party is being run safely, professionally and responsibly.

Our family-run team is DBS checked, and we have procedures in place to help provide a safe and enjoyable environment at our gaming parties and events.

DBS Checked Team

Our party hosts are DBS checked and are expected to maintain professional standards when working with children and young people.

Parent or Responsible Adult Must Remain on Site

A parent, guardian or responsible adult must remain at the party location throughout the event.

Streetside Gaming does not take children away from the event location, and our gaming bus should not be considered a childcare service.

The booking parent or responsible adult remains responsible for the children attending the party.

Age-Appropriate Gaming

We provide a wide range of games across Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Gaming PC, VR and our other gaming systems.

Our children’s gaming parties are suitable for children aged 6 and over.

We aim to provide games that are appropriate for the age of the children attending.

Party Capacity & Age Limits

We have clear capacity limits to help make sure children have enough space, access to the gaming equipment and an enjoyable experience.

Children Aged 6–12

We can accommodate up to 16 players inside the gaming bus, with a gaming screen available for each player.

Ages 13+

For players aged 13 and over, we accommodate up to 12 players inside the gaming bus.

Outdoor Gaming Setup

Where space, weather and the event location allow, our outdoor gaming setup can increase the total capacity to up to 18 players.

Our outdoor setup can include an additional large-screen gaming station and VR.

Outdoor equipment is weather dependent and cannot always be guaranteed.

For larger groups, please contact us before booking so we can recommend the most suitable setup.

Children With Additional Needs & SEN

Streetside Gaming welcomes children with additional needs and will make reasonable adjustments where possible to help them feel comfortable and included.

This may include quieter gaming, breaks, extra space, preferred games or additional support.

A parent, guardian or responsible adult must remain on site throughout the event.

Safe Equipment & Setup

Our gaming buses and gaming equipment are regularly checked and maintained.

Our team checks the equipment and party area before events to make sure everything is ready for use.

Our gaming equipment includes:

Xbox consoles, PlayStation consoles, Nintendo Switch consoles, Gaming PC, VR headsets, Racing simulator, Gaming screens, Arcade equipment

Children must follow instructions given by the party host when using VR, racing equipment and other gaming systems.

Keeping the Gaming Bus Safe

To help keep everyone safe and protect our equipment:

  • Food and drinks are not permitted inside the gaming bus
  • Children may be asked to remove their shoes before entering
  • Players must follow instructions from the party host
  • Gaming equipment must be treated carefully
  • Children should remain appropriately seated while playing
  • Parents should let us know about relevant accessibility or support requirements before the event

We reserve the right to stop someone using a piece of equipment if we believe it is being used unsafely.
